Who is Interim HealthCare?

Nursing is all I know how to do!! I have never held a non-nursing job.

I started my very first job the summer before my Senior year of high school as a CNA at Bridgewater Retirement Community. I continued to work as a CNA in long term care and the acute setting through nursing school. Since graduating from nursing school in May of 2002, I have worked in various specialties including  Med/Surg, Emergency Department, Skilled rehab, Home Health and Hospice. As a staff nurse my passion was always taking care of people. As a leader, my focus is still on taking care of people, those staff that work for me, by making sure they have what they need to provide excellent patient care. 

I currently live in Verona ( less than 1 mile from the office) with my husband of almost 22 years and our 3 children. Sydney (18) is pursuing her nursing degree at Blue Ridge Community College. Hannah (15) is a freshman at Fort Defiance High School.  Zach (13) is in the 7^th grade at Fishburne Military School.

I moved to Virginia because I met a man and fell in love. What I was not expecting was to also find a career that I love as well. In my role as Client Service Manager, my days are always different and ever evolving. I like that I get to interact with so many different people from all levels of society and each with a different story. I feel truly fortunate that I get to come to work every day, with my awesome PCSS team, and get to be involved in the process of helping people lead better, more fulfilled lives. My favorite part of being a CSM is being able to recognize and celebrate others by providing aides with gratitude gifts and events for home health aide week, starting the Aide of the Month, and organizing team member birthdays and milestones. I really love my team and fellow co-workers and feel extremely fortunate to have fallen in love twice, with my husband and Interim Healthcare.

I'm originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin and moved to the Hampton Roads area in 2003 when I joined the Navy and it quickly became home to me.  I left the Navy in 2008 and returned to school to finish my degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management. I'm often asked why I chose Human Resources and my answer is always the same: I never had a good HR experience and I wanted to change that! I've been in the HR field for almost 10 years and have worked in several industries including government, media/communications and most recently, manufacturing. I operate on "people first, profits follow" and will challenge myself to review and revise policies that reflect the same! I always encourage open, honest and respectful communication.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my 17-year-old son, reading and working out!

I started my professional healthcare career in Chicago as an Account Manager for Philips Healthcare.  I later joined Byram Healthcare serving as Senior Account Manager in the Chicago and Florida markets. Focused on enhancing the lives of patients, it was the Byram Healthcare role where I found my passion for patient care and marketing synergy. With more than 15 years of healthcare expertise, I joined the Interim team in early 2017 as Business Development Representative. I am responsible for growing our skilled home health care business in Hampton Roads. I am truly grateful to be in a role where I can combine my specialties to join together healthcare professionals and patients to provide the highest quality care and top notch customer service.

I have been a part of our Business Development team for 6 years and I continue to really enjoy my role within the organization. Over the years I have become very dedicated to being a senior advocate to my community. Originally from upstate New York, I love the Shenandoah mountains and I enjoy hiking the trails any chance that I get. The wineries that Virginia has to offer are a definite plus! I value my time spent with my husband, stepson and our dog Neiko.
